Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 September 2026
This app holds coursework, film and personal reflection belonging to young athletes, much of it written by teenagers about themselves. This policy is written to be read by a parent rather than only by a lawyer.
01 Who we are
The Have A Day Coaching app is operated by Have A Day Coaching, LLC, based in Folsom, California, United States. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Have A Day Coaching, LLC, and "the app" means this mobile and web application.
The app was built for us by sAPPworks LLC, who maintain it on our behalf and can access data in order to do so. They do not use it for anything else.
Questions about this policy go to haveadaycoaching@gmail.com.
02 What we collect
Account information
Name, email address, and a password you choose. We never see your password; it is stored only as a one-way hash.
Athlete profile
Graduation year, positions, team, jersey number, city and state, phone number, links to skills video or social media, and parent or guardian contact details. Entered by the athlete, a parent, or the coach.
Worksheets
Worksheet answers are personal, and some are more personal than athletic. The modules ask about time management, sleep, what an athlete struggles with, confidence and pressure, and about family finances in the section on scholarships. Answers are visible to the athlete who wrote them and to her coach. Nobody else.
Training content
Film uploaded by an athlete or coach, the marks and voice notes recorded over it, messages between an athlete and her coach, session bookings, training programs, and measurements such as exit velocity or pop time where those are recorded.
Recruiting
The schools an athlete is interested in, the status of her contact with them, and the drafts of emails she writes to college coaches from within the app.
Technical information
The usual server records: IP address, device and browser type, and times of access, kept for security and troubleshooting.
03 Children and young athletes
An athlete under 13 does not hold her own account. For our middle school program, we invite the parent or guardian, who creates the account and consents to this policy. The athlete works through the program using that account.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account without a parent, we delete it and its content promptly.
A parent or guardian may at any time ask to see what we hold about their child, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to haveadaycoaching@gmail.com. We will not require the parent to have an account to make that request.
Film of a minor, and everything she writes in a worksheet, is visible only to that athlete, to a parent or guardian sharing the account, and to her coach. It is never public, never indexed by search engines, and never used to train machine learning models.
04 How we use information
- To run the features being used: modules, worksheets, film review, messaging, scheduling, programs, and the recruiting tools
- To send email you asked for, such as session reminders and notices that a worksheet has been reviewed
- To keep the app secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems
- To answer support requests
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use worksheets, film, notes or messages to train artificial intelligence models.
05 Payments
Coaching fees are arranged directly between the athlete's family and Have A Day Coaching, outside the app. The app does not process payments and never sees card details. Where a payment is recorded in the app it is a note that it happened, entered by the coach, not a transaction.
06 Emails to college coaches
The app helps an athlete draft emails to college programs. Those emails are sent from her own email account using her own mail app. We do not send them on her behalf and we do not receive copies. What we keep is the draft and a record that she marked the school as contacted.
07 Who else touches your information
The list is short on purpose. Each of these companies works for us under contract and may use the information only to provide their service to us.
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, file storage for film and documents, and sign-in. Hosted in the United States. |
| Netlify | App hosting. |
| Resend | Sending notification and account email. |
| Loom | Hosting and playing some module videos. Loom sees that a video was played and from roughly where. |
| sAPPworks LLC | Building and maintaining the app on our behalf. |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If Have A Day Coaching, LLC is ever sold, information may transfer to the buyer, who would remain bound by this policy or give notice before changing it.
08 How long we keep it
While the account is open, and for a short period afterwards so that an account deleted by mistake can be restored. After that it is removed from our systems, apart from ordinary backups which age out on their own, and security logs that are not tied to an identity.
09 Deleting your account
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in Settings. No email to support, no waiting. See this page for the steps.
Deleting removes the profile, worksheets, film, messages and recruiting records belonging to that account. It cannot be undone.
10 Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to any athlete's information is enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app, so one athlete cannot read another's worksheets or film even if something in the app goes wrong.
11 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will act on it. We will not charge you or make it difficult.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
12 Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. For a change that meaningfully affects how we handle information, we will email account holders before it takes effect.
